Meet Matt Collett, Asset Commissioning Specialist. Matt’s regular role is spilt between sites in Balikpapan and Melak in East Kalimantan Indonesia supporting the GBU operation. However, for the last 6 months he has been in Australia demonstrating his versatility as part of the team commissioning Rexx units for customer projects.

She leads a function that plays a significant role in looking after our people and our business in the event of an injury and like so many people in our business, she thrives on the diversity of it.

Bis welcomes inaugural intake of Indonesian female operators

Bis’ inaugural Indonesian female operators’ trainee program has proved successful, with 100% of participants graduating from the program.

Humans of Bis – Grantly

Did you know Bis operates quarries and wool mills in Tasmania? Tasmanian local Grantly not only plays a key site based leadership role ensuring the safe and effective operation of the Bis owned quarries business, located just outside of Launceston in Northern Tasmania, he also lends his skills to the Norske Skog wood mill contract Bis also manages in Tasmania.

His customer base is as vast as his remit, but that is exactly what drives Brad in his multifaceted role as Regional Manager – South West.

Humans of Bis – Tim

In his role leading the UGM Mining Services business, Tim credits tenacity, challenging the status quo and a relentless drive for finding a better way, as the pillars of success. He also admits to doing it with a healthy dollop of ‘brash’ innovative thinking.

With his trademark Gatsby cap, Greg (pictured above, kneeling third from the right with the Razor Design and Build team) plays a pivotal role in the Tomago based New Development Build team which was most recently responsible for manufacturing the very first Razor.

Meet Nathan and Shane Clohesy, a father and son team who both work for Bis as MC Operators at the Newlands project site located near Glenden in the Bowen Basin.

Meet Scott, a proud Bis team member from Mount Barker. Scott has been an Operator at our Karara operations in WA for five years where he operates a broad range of Bis machinery including operating the dozer for the Tailings Storage Facility that Bis manages for our customer.

Our unique culture is built on the diverse contribution our people make, every day. Leah has been with Bis for over nine years, starting out in the business as Maintenance Coordinator and progressing into roles including Maintenance Admin Supervisor and Admin Store Person.

Evandro is a member of our Technical Support team and works to ensure the electrical integrity of our equipment located throughout Australia and Indonesia.

Operations Manager Rochelle Whitford is part of the Bis team who provides materials handling solutions to support the shipment of iron ore from Whyalla Port.
